Things To Do Off the Ranch

The benefit of being anchored in the heart of southwest Alberta allows for some of the most stunning vantage points in the world. Guests are consistently astonished by the Rocky Mountains and rolling hills. You will be on the doorstep of some of western Canada’s best outdoor activities and most significant historic sites.

Amazingly, Thanksgiving Ranch is located just over 30 minutes from two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Waterton Lakes National Park, the world’s only International Peace Park with Glacier National Park, and the unique and culturally important Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump.

The local museum, Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village, Writing On Stone Park (another UNESCO World Heritage Site), Frank Slide Interpretive Centre, hiking in Castle Wildland Provincial Park, and the Crowsnest Pass are also nearby.

Not sure what to see first? How long do you want to stay? We’re happy to provide you with personalized recommendations based on your interests!
