Your health and safety is our top priority during your stay at Thanksgiving Ranch.

In accordance with provincial guidelines and to ensure the well-being of all guests and staff, we will require everyone to adhere to the safety measures outlined by Alberta Health.

Generally, and like your parents probably told you, we recommend all guests and staff follow recommendations to:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

  • If you feel unwell, wear a mask around people

  • Avoid others who are unwell

  • Avoid touching your face

  • Cover your mouth and nose with your arm or a tissue when coughing or sneezing

  • Stay home if you’re sick

  • Avoid greeting with handshakes and consider hands-free greetings like a wave

We will continue to follow our regular disinfecting and sanitization procedures for linens, towels, and all other cleanings. If you have any concerns about our protocols and procedures, please do not hesitate to contact us at 403-627-1961 or use our contact form.

If a situation arises, we will implement the following safety protocols specific to our facility:

  1. Temporary closure of the swimming pool, sauna, and fitness areas

  2. Mandatory hand-sanitizing for guests before all meals and upon entering The Lodge

  3. Disposable towels in common area washrooms

  4. Distancing protocol within common areas and the dining room

  5. Eliminate self-service items

  6. Remove non-essential amenities from guest rooms and lounge areas (including magazines, books, games, decorative pillows, bed throws, flowers, pens, paper, non-fixed desktop items) to minimize potential areas of exposure

  7. Eliminate ‘unwrapped’ food snack items

  8. Increased frequency of staff cleaning and disinfecting in all common guest areas including toilets, phones, electronics, and door handles

  9. Require all food service personnel to wear gloves at all times and that those gloves are changed/disposed of in accordance with AHS guidelines

  10. Store condiments in covered containers at all times

  11. Reduced glassware/dishes/utensils stored on tables and counters  

  12. Established procedures should a guest display COVID-19 symptoms during their stay

  13. Established procedures should an employee display COVID-19 symptoms
