Driving Instructions to the Ranch
From the town of Pincher Creek, head south on Highway #6 (towards Waterton) for about 22.2 km.
Watch for a sign reading Shell Waterton Complex or Township Road 43A and turn right and head west for about 6.1 km.
Watch for a small street sign reading RR 30-3 and turn right onto a gravel road , to head north. (Note – you’ll immediately pass over railroad tracks after turning onto RR 30-3).
After about 1.6 km on RR30-3 you will come to a fork in the road. At this point, GO STRAIGHT - do not turn to the east! From the fork in the road you should be able see the main gate for the ranch.
After the fork in the road, you will go through a small valley and see the stone pillars that mark the entry and front gate to Thanksgiving Ranch.
Pass through the main gate and drive for 4.9 km. The road will take you to the bottom of the hill where you’ll see the Lodge at Thanksgiving Ranch.
NOTE: Google Maps has a pin showing the entrance to Thanksgiving Ranch, but be cautious because apps will direct you to turn west off Highway 6 too soon.
Note/Advice:
Please do not rely on Google Maps or other navigation apps to guide you to Thanksgiving Ranch.
These apps often suggest turning off Highway 6 too early, leading you onto unimproved roads. While these routes may take you close to the ranch, they often result in getting lost, losing cell service, and being unable to access The Lodge.
