Hiking and Walking at Thanksgiving Ranch
As of June 2020, Thanksgiving Ranch is working to create a map of the full network of roads, trails, pathways and natural wildlife/cattle trails. We will be working on the trail system throughout the summer months and expect to have all of the trail marking in place by summer 2021. Registered guests are welcome to explore the trails on foot or by mountain bike. We have built bridges over Pincher Creek so you can keep your feet dry. Our contact info is below if you’d like to get a trail update.
Our 3,000 acres offer views of breathtaking landscapes and diverse terrain - you can enjoy everything from Creekside strolls to trails with significant elevation changes .. no matter what you choose, count on your view changing continuously as your sightlines shift from one amazing view to another incredible scene.
Mother Nature puts on quite a show out here and the incredibly diverse rocks along the Pincher Creek offer a glorious rainbow of colours. Our pastures are filled with mountain wildflowers from late spring to early in the fall. Almost every direction around us features a stunning view of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains that are always at the ready to awe and inspire.
For hikes and walks off the Ranch, Waterton National Park is a 30 minute drive down the road and you can check out what the park has to offer as well as other off-ranch adventures here.
